Die besten Reiseautoren der Welt in Newsweek

In der aktuellen Ausgabe der Zeitschrift Newsweek wurde Cees Nooteboom in eine Liste der zehn besten Autoren von Reiseliteratur der letzten 100 Jahre aufgenommen, zusammen mit V.S. Naipaul, Paul Theroux, Ryszard Kapuscinski, Colin Thubron und anderen. Roads to Santiago ist dem Artikel zufolge sein bestes Buch. Darüber wird in der Zeitschrift geschrieben: „Better known as a novelist than a travel writer in his native Holland, Nooteboom is the ultimate stylist of the genre.
